Write with the voice of authority,
Like a man used to getting his own way.
No second guessing.
No offers implied.
Double talk saying nothing.
Sitting before the blank screen.
Seeking to find commanding prose.
Relaying displeasure without saying so.
Conveying assistance with no promises.

I was instructed to compose a letter to be signed by our democratic whip, Steny Hoyer. Yikes...

ReplyDeleteHow fun to participate in things like this! You are good!
ReplyDeleteI agree w/Mariza, you are good at this, and I loved the last line. Also here's a very belated response to your question regarding my "retirement". Nope, not really. I've mainly raised kids and hubby full time with odd jobs to help keep food or entertainment happening in our home. I've not worked full time in years, and yes, I realize that is a privilege that not many people get. I am blessed.
