Johnny can't read

Tell me what it means
To leave no child behind?  It seems
A problem for Johnny cannot
Read a book he's never seen.

He's a bright young guy
With a mind so fly
He memorizes all the words
Ever heard read aloud to him.

When reading's this hard
Life can be rough
In the schoolyard.

  4. Link text     If you insert your blog POST URL between the " " and leave the spaces and everything like I typed them, you are as good as gold.   It took me a few times before I was mistake free.  

    No Child Left Behind is impossible.  Of course some will be.  And some are hurt because they have to WAIT for the slower ones.   It is tough either way!

It's an awful policy.  Kids, who really don't know any better at that age, can be cruel.  And the teachers, though they may be understanding and sympathetic, are already taxed enough and may not necessarily be trained to help kids like Johnny.  We've got to find a way to not leave these intelligent kids behind.

  11. Yes, it can be, and it is so wrong to do that. Teaching is what is needed, not going up. If taught right, the moving up will continue on its own right?
